New Beginnings For Life L.L.C. An integrated residential living program that teaches Life Skills to learning disabled young adults In Moodus Connecticut
Here at New Beginnings for Life we focus on the skills needed for Independent living for the learning disabled young adult. Some of the services offered are cooking, cleaning your home, use of public transportation, personal hgyine, banking skills, how to find and keep a job, community service and environmental awareness. We have some students who attend Community College in the area and we help them develop good study skills. In addition we offer sign language, reading skills and general language arts, as well as GED preparation.
On the lighter side, we offer a variety of arts and crafts, gardening, and fun outings.
Currently we have one opening for a young woman, and three young men in June. A waiting list will be available .
